Do you board and train?
No, I am sorry, we do not offer board and train as I believe that training at home to address issues and problems is the better way to achieve our goals quickly and efficiently. Further, I believe it’s critically important that the owner be part of the training to build a bond to their dog and to understand every step we take.
How long is a session?
A session is always around 1 hour long
Can I text or call between the lessons if I have questions?
Of course. I will prioritize to return your call or answer your text on the same day. Happy 4 Paws wants to make sure that you never feel alone during the training
How long does it take and how much does it cost to train my dog in being a Service Animal?
This depends on a lot factors, which starts with what goals we are aspiring to achieve. Other factors include your dog’s age/breed, previous training and general behavior in a public setting.
You are more than welcome to schedule a 20 Minute FaceTime call for free with me to go over all of these factors. I still will have to meet your dog by myself, but I will be able to give you a training plan and an idea about the costs after the call.
What should I do if the weather is very bad and we are supposed to meet outside?
Since it is very common in Florida that the weather can be very different every 10 miles or so, you are more than welcome to reach out to me if there is a storm going on in your area and we can decide together what to do. There will be NO charge when we have to reschedule because of the weather.
My dog seems to be sick/I do not feel very well… what should I do?
If your dog is sick, please let me know about that and we will reschedule at no charge. Some illnesses can highly contagious and I do not wish to pass them along to the next customer or to my own dogs. Also, if you feel under the weather or the flu is running through your house, let me know and we reschedule to accommodate at no charge.
I do not like tools like e-collars or prong collars. Will you still train my dog?
As I will talk with you about every step we are taking, I will offer you more than one way to reach our goal. I will discuss with you the pros and cons and you will always have the last word about the form of training.
How does that work with the packages? Do I need to pay upfront?
Yes, if you want to buy a package, you will have to pay at the first session of it the whole price. We have financing programs in case this works better for you.
